The five types of text structure this covers is: description, sequence, problem/solution, cause/effect, and compare/contrast. Each part includes an explanation and example. All five examples relate to the topic of animals to better show appropriate use of text structure.

At the end, there are 5 more samples in which your students must determine what type of text structure is used.
