Testing Encouraging Notes for Students From Parents

All kids love positive messages, especially during high stakes testing time! Having their parents or a family member write an encouraging note for them to open before testing provides a lot of motivation and positive thoughts to get them in the right frame of mind! My students read the notes from their parents over and over during testing, and it always makes the smile.

I explain about the notes to parents during parent teacher conferences. I have parents pick one paper they like and take it home with an envelope so they can return it back to me. I pass the envelopes out to the students the morning of our first test. For those students whose parents do not return a letter, I write one to them.
