What a great resources! I love how it can be used in any subject and is naturally differentiated because it's so open ended and the possibilities are endless.

Description

One of my favorite activities to do during "test prep" season is to have my students create their own board games. We then spend the days before the assessments playing the games.

5 REASONS TEACHERS LOVE THIS CREATE A GAME RESOURCE

► This resource is packed with tons of options, so teachers can pick and choose what works best for them and their students.

► Students love these types of activities and will be highly engaged when working on them.

► The resources are open-ended, so teachers can differentiate to meet the needs of their students and continue to use the resources even if they switch grade levels in the future.

► Once students create the games, the games can be used as a filler or fast finisher task, so you'll be covered in a pinch.

► There is an editable version included (PowerPoint file). The editable pages are included as a Powerpoint file. This allows teachers to easily create hands-on games and centers for their students customized to the topics they're working on in class. You can save and print each file.

Teachers Who Have Used The Design a Game Packet Have Said...

I wanted to let you know how excited Connor has been about the game project you sent home. I love when he is enthusiastic about schoolwork. The best part is he has no idea how much he is learning about science while he is making his “trivia cards.” Thanks for making learning fun for him. (a parent)

Guess what I just did in less than 15 minutes? I made lots of new math centers for fractions and multiplication. Thanks for sharing the game set you made. I’m planning to project the powerpoint slide of the game boards to model how to play. As always you’ve made my life easier and my sweet 3rd graders math block much more fun and exciting. (Thanks Molle G.)

I have a group of students who constantly finish their work quickly and I was so tired of having them just sit and read while they waited for the others. These games were the perfect solution to that problem. Those students have really been enjoying making games and challenging each other. (Thanks Jen P.)
