What educators are saying

I love this resource! Easy to prepare and perfect skill level for one of my ASD students. I used the task cards for his discrete trials and the clock manipulative for specialized instruction sessions.

    Description

This Clocks and Time Bundle includes Matching Clocks File Folders, Matching clocks to schedules folders and worksheets, as well as structured Telling Time File folders and task cards for Autism and Special Education. These tasks are a great way to introduce and practice time with students with special needs.

    Included in this Bundle:

Clock Matching File Folder with Schedule Activities:

This Clock Matching File Folder and worksheet set (12 Folders) for Autism and Special Education includes identical clock matching file folders as well as file folders and worksheets for matching clocks to activities on a schedule. This resource is a great way for making learning time functional for students with special needs.

    Included in this resource:

    -Identical matching clock folders

    -time by the hour

    -time by the half hour

    -time by the :15’s

    -time by the 45’s

    -Assorted clocks

    -7 schedules with clocks

-corresponding file folders for each schedule that requires the student to look at the schedule and match the clock that goes with each activity on the schedule

(These can also be used as print and go cut/paste worksheets.)

-corresponding multiple choice worksheets with visual choices for students to circle the activity that goes with each clock shown

    - A large clock (with hands that are drawn on with a dry erase marker) to use with the schedules or activity choice pages. Staff draw the time on the clock and the student identifies the corresponding activity on the schedule.

This “telling time” task for Autism and Special Education includes 96 time task cards and 10 file folders “Build a Clock. “What time is it?,” and Make the time. All folders and task cards are differentiated and provide a variety of levels for instruction.

Telling Time Task Cards are differentiated with two different levels- Color coded clocks and B/W clocks

Task cards are by the hour, half hour, and quarter hour

Students can identify the time by circling with a dry erase marker, dot marker, or clothes pin to choose the correct time.

These task cards can be used on their own, or with the “What time is it?” File folder.

    File Folders include:

-Build a Clock Hours (color coded)

-Build a Clock Minutes (color coded)

    - Hour and minute icons, arrows, and labels are included (color coded)

-What time is it? (color coded)

-What time is it? (Black and white with minutes written on the clock)

-What time is it? (Black and white with only hours on the clock)

-What time is it? (Black and white with only hours sectioned off into 5 minutes)

    - Hour and minute icons, arrows, and labels included (color coded)

-”To Do” and “All done” envelopes

These folders include color coded hour and minute hands, as well as color coded hour and minute number icons. Students can use the clock task card as a reference to imitate the time on their own clock on the file folder.

. “To do” and “all done” envelopes are included and can be used to make the file folder a structured work task. Students can complete the folder for independent work or with a staff. If used for 1:1 work, staff can make a time on the clock for students to identify, or tell students what time to make on the clock.

    -Make the time (Color Coded)

-Make the time (Black and white with only hours on the clock)

-Make the time (Black and white with only hours on the clock)

-Make the time (Black and white with only hours sectioned off into 5 minutes)

-144 Color coded “make the time cards”, labels for bags, and folder labels

Make the time cards are by the hour, half hour, quarter hour, and 5 minutes

. Staff decides which time cards are most appropriate for students, and puts them on the left side of the file folder. Students take the card from the left of the folder, attach it to the space below the clock, and use the color coded interactive clock hands to “make the time” on the clock. When finished with that time card, the student will put it in the “all done” envelope, and move on to the next card until all cards are completed. This tasks is best used with a staff to ensure accuracy, or for students that are already independent with telling time, and are using this task for retention or as an independent work task.

The “What time is it?” File Folder also work with an online interactive color coded clock (with the same green and orange hands). Students can use the file folder clock to imitate the time on the clock on the website
