Teilifís Online Games Bundle. Gaeilge Boom Cards™ bunaithe ar an téama 'Teilifís'.

This resource includes seven Boom Card games as Gaeilge to teach the 'Teilifís' vocabulary and make Irish fun and engaging.

The games are designed for senior classes and will be most suitable for 5th and 6th class. View the previews to check the level of suitability for your class.

This resource includes seven online Teilifís Boom Card games.

Overview of the games:

Teilifís 1 - Introduction to the television programmes. Building vocabulary.

Teilifís 2 - Revising television programme vocabulary. Learning the phrase ‘An clár teilifíse is fearr liom ná…’

Teilifís 3 - Giving an opinion on tv programmes. Read the sentence and click on the emoji. Developing vocabulary. (Is breá/Is aoibhinn/Taitníonn/Ní thaitníonn)

Teilifís 4 – Reading the clock in 5 minute intervals. Read the sentence and click on the clock.

Teilifís 5 – Reading the clock in 5 minute intervals. Drag the correct clock to the programme.

Teilifís 6 - Introduction to items of technology vocabulary. Learning vocabulary to answer the question ‘Cad a úsáideann tú chun dul ar line?’

Teilifís 7 – Revision of technology vocabulary. Learning phrases to answer the question ‘Cad a dhéanann tú ar line?’

Each game has between 20 - 30 cards to play.

A fun and interactive way to learn new vocabulary. They are self-correcting so students get instant feedback on their answers. No teacher correction required.

If you want an easy way to create lessons try these Boom Cards with my Teilifís worksheets and handouts resource. The same vocabulary and images are used. I am using these Boom Cards with my 5th class in February in conjunction with my other resources. Use the handouts and worksheets to make effective and interesting lessons with ease!

Boom Cards can be used without a subscription to Boom Learning with 'fast pin' links. Copy and paste the game links and assign them to your class on your online learning platform.

What Do I Need to Use the Boom Cards?

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins" which allow your whole class to play with one click. No logins required.

How Many Devices Can Access the Boom Cards?

You can use this resource with your whole class on as many devices as you like. Use the games for online learning or as a homework activity.

Can I preview the Boom Cards?

Yes, you can. Click on the name of the game to preview each of the games in the Bundle. Each game has between 20 - 30 game cards.

Can I Use the Boom Cards with Seesaw, Google Classroom, or other Learning Management Systems?

Yes you can! You can use these with Seesaw, Google Classroom, or other online learning platforms. You could even assign these by email. Copy and paste the 'fastpin' link and assign it to your class. If you have a paid subscription to Boom Learning you can collect data and results from your class games. However, this involves setting up a Boom Classroom with an account for your class.

Can my whole class play with a free account?

Yes! You can assign the 'fastpin' link to your whole class. They simply click on the link to play the game.
