I hope that this lesson plan template will save you lots of time and energy, while helping you understand what is required of us with the new state evaluation system. The lesson plan template includes what was most difficult for me as a new teacher implementing TKES, differentiation and assessment strategies. I *knew* that I was differentiating, but I had difficultly expressing that in my daily and weekly plans. Inside of the template is a list of commonly used differentiation strategies and assessment examples that you can copy and paste directly into the plans to suit your needs as you are planning. The TKES system isn't really requiring anything new of us, but rather it requires us to prove what we are doing in our classrooms on a daily basis. In order to move from level 2 to 3 or from 3 to 4, we must demonstrate that we know how to assess and differentiate our students based on their needs. I tried to keep it simple, and I'm very open to ideas for additional formats as well.

I believe my district provided good training as to what it is I will be evaluated on. However, I was very unclear about "how" to maintain my documentation and exactly they are looking for for artifacts and evidence of my teaching.
