What educators are saying

This is a very good resource for teaching agreement and is a good-sized packet for lots of varied practice! I found it best to use with a teacher lesson first, then going over a few as a whole class, and finally, independent practice.
Great resource to use! Our librarians used this to create a digital escape room activity as students reviewed grammar components.

Description

Teach Subject-Verb Agreement and Pronoun-Antecedent together! This packet includes notes, practice, and a quiz (two formats) for both Subject-Verb Agreement and Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement.
The charts on the practice pages and quiz require students to slow down and identify the subject/antecedent and determine whether it is singular or plural. Then students identify the verb and determine whether it is singular or plural using a simple trick. Finally students chart the pronoun and whether or not it is singular. Using the chart, students can easily see if all the components "match" regarding number, making both Subject-Verb Agreement and Pronoun-Antecedent agreement simple and systematic.
Notes also address subject-verb and pronoun-antecedent agreement with intervening elements (prepositional phrases and words of addition), compound subjects, gerunds, and indefinite pronouns.
Answer keys included.
