What educators are saying

My students were engaged the entire time they used this resource and were taking time in working through their answers.
Great activity to get my students up and moving around the room while they practice calculating net force.

Description

These Task Cards are meant to help students practice calculating the net force on objects

TEK 8.6A Demonstrate and calculate how unbalanced forces change the speed or direction of an object's motion.

Each task card contains a box that has a force being exerted on to it. The student must be able to look at the card and calculate the amount of net force exerted, and the direction in which the box is going (Right, Left, Up, Down) and whether the force is balance or unbalance. A balanced force will have 0 N (newtons). There are several that are moving in two direction in that case the student must indicate both forces and directions ( 2 N, Up and 4 N Right) These task cards can be used in a variety of ways. You can hang them up in your classroom as is or in hallways for kids to work on answering each card. They can be printed multiple to a page, to be handed out as a warmup as well. Each Card has a QR code so that students can check their answers with their devices or you can use the attached answer key.

There is a set with QR codes and a set without. A blank answer sheet for students to record their answers, as well as an answer key are included to help with grading.

Previews are available so that you can see what the task cards looks like to make sure it is a product you would like to use and enjoy.
