Target Lessons/Bell Ringers for 6th grade Social Studies Weeks 1-6

This power point contains the first 6 weeks of targets/bell ringers for 6th grade Social Studies Curriculum for the state of Georgia.

However, other teachers can utilize these target lessons for their Social Studies classes. The first 6 weeks cover map skills, and start to get into European history!

Each day students are asked to analyze and infer about the chart, map, picture they see and apply their knowledge to answer a question. For most students this is their introduction into Document Based Questioning.

These targets/bell ringers also help students focus for the class as well as be continuously reviewing for high stake testing.
