Description

This is a great resource to get the students hands-on with building. This product includes a lot of things that will keep them engaged during the process!

1) Architect Vocabulary Map-This is a quick graphic organizer for your students to fill in after they hear a story about architects using suggested read alouds and online links for those stories

2) Planning-A planning/sketch sheet is included (half sheet) for the students to make decisions about building materials to choose and sketching out what it will look like. Prep work is needed to have required materials. We used small Dixie cups (bathroom cups), clothespins, tongue depressors, tape, and 5x7 index cards.

3) Design/Building-Students will write about their challenges and problem-solving skills used on this sheet (half sheet too). I also referenced a link for helping them develop a strong foundation for their base.

4) Reflection Questions-There are 5 reflection questions for the students to answer after the challenge. I also included a reflection page for younger students (1st and 2nd grade or lower 3rd graders) with simplified questions.
