Description

These digital activities in Google Slides™ are a great way for students to investigate and learn all about THE WATER CYCLE.

This paperless product will work on desktops, laptops, Chromebooks™and iPads®.

12 activities are included:

★ What is The Water Cycle?: Students use the highlighting tool to highlight important info

★ The Water Cycle: Students view the embedded YouTube™ video & answer 4 questions by typing in the chart

★ Water Cycle Diagram: Student drag and drop the word labels to their correct location

★ Evaporation: Students type their own definition

★ Condensation: Students type their own definition

★ Collection: Students type their own definition

★Accumulation: Students type their own definition

★Infiltration: Students type their own definition

★Venn Diagram Challenge: Students complete a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting evaporation, condensation and precipitation--this will really test their thinking! Students will type responses in provided text boxes.

★ If I Were a Water Droplet Creative Writing Activity: Students will add their selfie and crop to shape to fit inside of the provided water droplet image (directions are included). They will type in the provided text box a short story about what life would be like if they were a water droplet traveling through the water cycle. (A completed example is included)

★ Vocabulary Word Search: Students find the vocabulary terms listed and use the paint can tool to mark the words they find. Checkmarks are provided for students to drag and drop next to each word as they locate it on the grid.

All slides contain directions in the speaker notes. Slide #2 contains directions for both computer and iPad® users.

Students can complete these activities individually OR collaboratively. They can even use the built in Explore tool to do some additional research.

This product comes as a link in a PDF file. First, make sure you are signed into your Google™ account. Click on the link and you will be prompted to "Make a Copy". Rename the file to whatever you would like. It will be sent directly to your Drive! Disperse to your students via Google Classroom™, Google Drive™ Shared folder, your Learning Platform, etc..
