The FINANCIAL LITERACY CURRICULUM was created to introduce students to the most important and practical concepts of financial literacy. Cut out all the unnecessary and overwhelming information and ensure your students are getting what they'll actually need to be financially independent in the real world.
WHAT ARE YOU RECEIVING?
With 3 full units, each consisting of three NO PREP LESSONS (nine total lessons), the FINANCIAL LITERACY CURRICULUM will teach your students essential financial literacy skills. With ENGAGING and EXPLICIT instruction that focuses on BUILDABLE SKILLS and REAL WORLD scenarios, the Financial Literacy Curriculum teaches skills in a fun and accessible manner through a variety of ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHEETS. The following units and lessons are included in this bundle:

Unit 1: MONEY FOUNDATIONS is the perfect introduction to Financial Literacy. This NO PREP UNIT will set a foundation for future financial literacy skills. This bundle provides some of the most foundational skills for managing money and understanding our own spending. These topics often get skipped and yet they are essential to financial success!
Unit 2: BUDGETING is the perfect introduction to BUDGETING. This NO PREP UNIT walks students through all of the most important aspects of understanding how to make a budget. A foundational understanding of expenses, deductions, and paychecks from the first two lessons will set students up for the third lesson which focuses on understanding the intricacies of a budget and the process of creating one. With ENGAGING LESSONS and WORKSHEETS/ACTIVITIES to reinforce skills you can provide your students with a solid understanding of budgeting beyond just the basics.
Unit 3 CREDIT AND DEBT cuts through all of the unnecessary and overwhelming information about credit, debt, interest, and credit scores and reports that many students struggle to understand. This unit focuses on BIG PICTURE CONCEPTS and is focused on information that can be taken into the real world.
These units are focused on explicit instruction and buildable skills. They can be used in a 1:1 setting, in a SMALL GROUP, or during WHOLE CLASS instruction. They can be used with sub-separate groups, in life skills/transition classes, in business classes, or as a functional math lesson.
INCLUDED:
- 9 full LESSON PLANS with lesson opening, procedure, lesson closing, discussion questions, and teacher scripts.
- Engaging WORKSHEETS/ACTIVITIES which provide practice and application of skill.
- ANSWER KEYS
- Identical EASEL ACTIVITIES to coincide with each worksheet. These provide students the OPTION TO TYPE and allow teachers to SHARE DIGITALLY via Google Classroom or other learning platform.
- Easel activities provide AUDIO SUPPORT for diverse learners.
- No prep is necessary!
The duration of each lesson may vary depending on the type of group you're working with and on student needs.
