Because I said I would is a movement started by Alex Sheen that emphasizes the importance of setting and keeping promises.
This lesson is for the TED talk (no links are provided in the document, but you can search YouTube or Google for "Because I said I would TED talk" and find the video, which is about 16 minutes).
Included in this download are:
- 8 guided questions that go along with the TED talk "Because I said I would" (if your students are like mine, they need the questions to help keep them focused)
-Answer key for 8 guided questions
-1 page for students to brainstorm their own promises/commitments
This is a great lesson to either build character in your students or to use at the beginning of the year (either in January or in August), although it can be used ANY time of the year
Works great as a sub lesson or on a morning you need a lesson that is ready-to-go.
My students loved doing this lesson, and I hope yours do also!
