Syllabus-World History & Geography-Middle/High School

Are you teaching a new subject this year? Do you need help in putting together your class guidelines? This is my syllabus that I use with my World History and Geography Class. The description matches California Social Sciences Content Standard for grade 7th, but you may modify the description to fit your and your students’ needs. This syllabus covers the following: topics learned throughout the year, behavior expectations and consequences, classroom rules, attendance policy, grading scale, late work submission guidelines, evaluation procedures, supplies needed for the class; description of earning work habits and cooperation grade in addition to the academic grade, a place for a parent/guardian to sign the form and add their phone number, and for a student to sign. This syllabus could be used for high school as well.

I usually go over the syllabus at the beginning of the school year. We read it together and then students take it home to review it with their parents and obtain parent signature. Hope it is helpful for your class.
