Survival in Extreme Settings - Wit & Wisdom Grade 4 Module 2 Launch

Are you looking for a fun, immersive way to launch Module 2 of Wit & Wisdom Extreme Settings? Even if you aren't teaching Wit & Wisdom, this internet scavenger hunt is an amazing way for students to investigate what makes three different environments extreme and difficult to survive. Students will navigate to a variety of websites to learn more about what makes the mountains, oceans, and space extreme environments. Students will also produce a list of items that would be necessary to survive in each environment as well as a list of skills one would need to possess to aid in survival. After analyzing all three environments, students will determine the common items and skills that can be applied to any survival situation. (While Oceans are not part of Module 2, it does build upon what students studied in Wit & Wisdom Grade 3.)
