What educators are saying

This was a great resource to reinforce concepts in our math program. The kids were engaged and had a great time! Thank you!
I really enjoyed the resource but decided not to use it with my scholars. (This was because of a time management issue and had to cut out things I wanted to do.) Still a great resource that everyone should buy!

Description

Looking for a fun way to teach perimeter, area and volume? This activity is a great hands-on 7-10 to days project that will really motivate your students and make learning about math fun!!

Students will love getting the chance to custom design their own lair. They have several options of furniture or equipment they may want to put inside their lair. Except for the rug, each piece is 3-dimensional and easy to assemble. Short walls allow the students to keep everything inside their room/lair as well as provide a way to carry their project.

Parents will love seeing the creativity and imagination their child has through this project.

Teachers will love the easy to grade worksheet and quiz. I have included three versions of the worksheet and quiz.

One version is whole number.

One version contains decimals.

One version contains fractions.

While this project focuses mostly on perimeter, area and volume, there is one area of a circle question.

I have also included writing worksheets if you want to use a superhero theme. Students will love getting a chance to extend their creativity by writing a story.

There is also a Superhero Extras file included in this. It gives you 6 extra activities to extend this project. There is a word find, 2 math worksheets, a grid puzzle, a synonyms worksheet and a vocabulary building worksheet.
