Description
These preschool through early elementary school summer speech and language therapy homework worksheets are a no prep print and go resource for students in preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade. These no prep pages are a great resource for ESY, summer therapy, or to send home as reinforcement practice. This homework packet includes the following expressive and receptive language goals as well as speech sound articulation goals:
Activities include the following:
- Synonyms- Matching synonym pairs and writing a synonym for a target word given a word bank.
- Antonyms- Matching opposite pairs and writing an antonym for a target word given a word bank.
- Descriptors and Attributes- Identifying adjectives to finish cloze-sentences to describe a picture in a field of 3.
- Following 1-2 Step Directions- 1-2 step directions with spatial concepts, basic concepts, negation, sequential concepts, and temporal concepts.
- Prepositions and Spatial Concepts- Following 1 step directions with spatial concepts.
- Phonological Awareness- Rhyming identification, rhyming production, syllable segmentation, and initial sound matching.
- Regular Past Tense Verbs- Change verbs from present to past tense.
- Pronouns- Cloze sentence fill-ins with pronouns given a word bank and visual cues.
- Categories- Category sorting in a field of 3, stating the category of pictured objects, and listing 3 items in a stated category.
- Object-Function- Writing the function of a pictured object.
- WH- Questions: Generating answers to WH- questions and identifying answers to WH- Questions given visual cues.
- Listening Comprehension- Identifying answers to WH- Questions following short stories given three multiple choice pictured answer options.
- Similarities and Differences- Sorting similarities and differences to compare and contrast.
- Sequencing- Sequencing 3-part pictures with the words first, second, and third.
- Articulation: Practice the following phonemes in the initial, medial and final position of summer themed words: /k/ and /g/, /s/ and /z/, /f/ and /v/, /l/, TH, SH, CH, J, and consonant blends
