Summer School Grant Proposal

This grant proposal involves a four-week summer school session for roughly 60 students who need support over the summer in order to maintain current academic standing and experience a "jump start" to help them transition into the next school year. This particular grant is for Kindergarten students entering First, but could be modified for other grade levels. The grant also involves both ESL and classroom teachers, to better meet student needs. There is also a technology piece included using iPads, and the library will be open at least one day per week for this program. The budget is just over $14,000, but could also be modified by decreasing days, hours, or personnel. Parents are invited to attend one day per week in order to access the library and learn strategies to use at home with their students.
