    Description

This is the perfect addition to your morning meeting! A quick team builder will bring your class closer and add a little fun to your day!

I have also included June, July, and August Creative Writing for Google Slides and a Summer I Am Poem Activity!

    What If?

Students will read a crazy and wild question like, “what would happen if you woke up one morning to find you were 100 feet tall?” They will then think about how this would change the world around us. How would this affect things like our families, our schools, our towns, and even the whole world! How would people feel? What would they do?

I have them write down as many ideas as they can and then share them out loud to the class. Great team builder and perfect for a quick morning meeting activity!

This product includes a directions slide with an example and 15 fun what if questions with beautiful background photos all themed around summer.

Hope you and your students enjoy!

    Summer 4 Corners:

15 rounds of fun summer themed questions!

    Summer This or That:

This activity is a fun take on the game This or That. In this game students are given two images on the screen. They will decide which image describes them best/they connect with the most and stand in front of that image. They will then be given a question to answer using that image. Check out the preview to see some of the questions!

Includes a slide for directions, example slides with possible answers, and 10 images with creative fall themed questions. Each question slide also includes sentence starters for students to use!

    Summer Olympics:

Students will research an Olympic Sport and an athlete that placed in that sport. They will then create interview questions and responses from the athlete!

Perfect for an early finisher task, individual research project, or whole class assignment! No prep!

    This product includes:

-Table of contents linked to the slides so your students can easily navigate to the work for the day

    -Writing prompt

    -Research and interview example pages

-Choice of Olympic sports to choose from

-Research links to three kid friendly research sites

    -Space for research

-Rubric so students can self asses their work

Finally, create a radio advertisement persuading people to come check out your new business!
    • Treasure Map Adventure: You and your friends find a bottle washed up on the beach. Inside is a treasure map that leads you on an adventure like no other! Create your own treasure map, then write a play that tells the story of the obstacles you face along the way to finding the buried treasure.

    Summer I Am Poems:

Looking for a cozy summer poetry project? This is a new take on I Am Poems where students are imagining themselves as objects in the summer season itself!

You can use this product as an early finisher assignment, writing center for the season, or as a whole class assignment!

The first few pages in this product include 6 beautiful summer images. I post these around my classroom on the day we write our I Am Poems. I start by reading the Summer I Am Poem example and then have the students grab a clipboard, brainstorming page, and I Am Poem template. I then ask them to walk around and look at the images. They then choose one and imagine themselves in that image. What would they see? feel? hear? smell? taste?

After brainstorming, they write their poem. I end our time by having them share their poems either in small groups or for the class. A rubric is included as well!

When students are done you can display them in the hall or create a class poetry book!

    Summer Back to Back Drawing

This is the Summer Version of the Team Builder Back to Back Drawings! It is similar to directed drawing but adds in partner work and the extra challenge of directing their partner to draw an entire summer scene.

This product is a low prep activity. Students will only need paper, pencil or colored pencils, and something hard to draw on like a clipboard.

It includes TEN rounds of summer scenes for them to draw!
