Suffix Magic Tunnels

This smart board activity includes 18 pages of suffixes to help your students practice suffixes in a fun and interactive way. Students will start by defining the word on the left side of the page then dragging the word through the "magic tunnel" to reveal the meaning of the word with the suffix. This can be used during enrichment, whole group, small group, reteaching or an additional practice for state assessments.


My kids LOVE this activity and actually the first time I've heard kids say they want to work on suffixes. We have even used the pages to create new words and the kids love adding their words to the pages.

The following suffixes are included: ing, ed, ly, y, er (someone who), er (most), est, ment, less, en, ful, ish, able, ible, ence, ance, and ate.
