Subtraction Strategy Worksheets (K-2)

Subtraction means "TAKING APART". These worksheets provide multiple strategies for young learners as they explore numbers 1-10.

Strategies included in the worksheets:

• Counting on your fingers
• Using counting cubes to count down
• Ten Frames
• Number lines

Included are two worksheets for students to show learning by demonstrating knowledge & understanding by completing subtraction number sentences, and to demonstrate thinking & application of strategies learned when solving subtraction number sentences and drawing which strategy they chose.

Two exit ticket rubric assessments are included and can be attached to any of the worksheets in this mini unit. This is a great way to communicate learning to parents/guardians and to track assessment and growth.
