Student Self-Reflection & Goals - Social Responsibility (BC Core Competency)

With British Columbia's new curriculum, comes the Core Competencies.

This product is a "print and use" self-reflection based SPECIFICALLY on the BC Curriculum Core Competency of Social Responsibility. The language and reflection prompts are ideal for students Grade 1 and up.

This product allows step-by-step, guided self-reflection of student's Social Responsibility, within the four sections given in the BC Curriculum:
1) Contributing to community and caring for the environment
2) Solving problems in peaceful ways
3) Valuing diversity
4) Building relationships

At the end of each section, students look back at their responses and notice which areas they need to improve (aka: They look for the neutral and sad faces). They select ONE of those and write a personal goal before moving on to the next section. Each page provides 4 inter-lined lines for students to write, including the sentence starter "My goal is to..."

Extension: If you would like to extend this activity, I would suggest cutting their goals and taping one to their desk so they can refer back to it throughout the term.
