This is an excellent activity for the first day of school, after vacation/break, or when you are on a cart.
Use these cards as a warm up, class reward for the end of your time together or movement activity-play any genre of music that you wish to introduce your learners to! You can print these cards and pass them out to learners and have them take turns holding up a different card every 8 beats, then "strike a pose" for eight beats. Subs can easily manage this game when printed.
Students LOVE making statues and these creative movement poses will get those wiggles out while engaging in creative, joyful learning. With 100 poses you can fill an entire class with this activity or warm up your learners with a few poses each day.
Use these to correlate high and low movement to high and low pitches, with a freeze dance, create confidence to participate and perform, or just have some silly fun!
