- Zip
Description
This 10 week unit is designed to teach upper primary and middle school students about one of the most popular modern art forms, street art!
LESSONS 1-5
The students will learn to evaluate art using a generic "Art Evaluation" worksheet, which is included in the bundle. In the evaluation they will look at...
1. Form
2. Process
3. Content
4. Context
5. Mood
The lesson plans and worksheet clearly explain each one, giving questions for the students to answer.
Students will learn about the works of Banksy, ROA, Shepard Fairey and David Walker. During the lessons they will also discuss the legalities of street art.
LESSONS 6-10
The students will plan and create their own original artwork in the style of one of the four artists they have studied. First they will complete the "Art Creation" worksheet (included in bundle) to think about and plan their art. They will then create their piece before showing it off and reflecting on their work.
The art evaluations combined with the art creation give teachers many opportunities to assess the students knowledge and skills, making reporting on the subject a little easier!
Note: I have included two copies of the Art Evaluation worksheet. One has English (USA) spelling and the other has English (UK) spelling.
