Want a fun fall Halloween game or activity? These storytelling cards are it! Three stacks of cards: (1) characters, (2) settings, (3) plot elements. Pull from each stack and create Halloween stories!

These scary and spooky Halloween Edition creative writing or oral storytelling cards are great for October! Have your students imagine some Halloween stories of their own! Included are 48 character cards, 48 setting cards and 48 plot element cards (144 cards total).

Characters include a trick or treater, a father, a mother, a vampire, a werewolf, a witch, a ghost hunter, a skeleton and more! Settings include a haunted house, a suburban street, a school gymnasium, a vampire's lair, a scary forest, a corn maze, thunderstorm, friend's house, witch's cave and more! Plot elements include a costume contest, bobbing for apples, a curse, fighting for good against evil, facing a fear, a power outage and more!

You may divide your students up into small groups, have them draw cards, and create stories with the information on the cards (the characters, settings and plot elements). This activity can be done orally and interactively as chain stories: one student starts a story, a second student continues and another student continues after that. Or this activity can be done as writing, in groups or individually.

Have your kids brainstorm ideas, adding details about the characters, settings and plot elements. Have your students use their imaginations and creativity to tell tales of adventures, problems and solutions and overcoming challenges and more.

This can be done with native English speakers as well as ESL learners. This print, cut (laminate if choose) and go resource is good for a classroom teacher and homeschooling parent, so hello to you all!
