What educators are saying
This is one of the best activities I have ever done to help students actively engage in history. I highly recommend it.
Description
This product contains all of the resources you will need to give your students a first-hand experience of life during the Civil Rights Movement. Please note that this lesson was designed to be used with grades 4-6. This product contains a short list of teacher ideas/directions; role bios for 23 individuals involved in the CRM; sort/selection cards for assigning roles; an "all about me" form for students to complete as they "get to know" the role they will take on; a "hint card" with important acronyms, organizations, places, etc.; and the "interview sheet", which is the bulk of the activity where students will spend multiple class periods interviewing each other.
