Using the chant provided, the children can chant/sing to each other, each time that the rooster asks a new animal if they said moo. Use the beat chart and worksheet provided to distinguish and explain the difference between rhythm and steady beat as well as learn about rests in music. Use the decoding sheet to teach children how to write quarter notes and have them fill in the boxes with the appropriate beats and rests.
