States of Matter Poster Set // classroom charts, solid, liquid and gas picture sorting cards and moving molecules experiment!

Pack includes both standard US and Australian A4 files (resources can support chemical science understandings for Australian Teachers).

These States of Matter (solid, liquid and gas) posters and picture sort activities are specifically designed for early childhood aged children and are a great visual resource to your Science centre or to use when introducing states of matter.

This poster pack is intended to support your chemical and physical science unit when learning about the three different states of matter - solids, liquids and gases.

This pack includes:

• States of matter posters – solid, liquid, gas (two versions of each one with cute clip art graphics, the other realistic photographic images). Posters can be enlarged to A3 size without loosing picture quality.

• States of Matter vocabulary cards: solid, liquid, gas and matter - great to use when brainstorming what children know, or to use as headings when sorting different states of matter.

• Heating, cooling, vaporisation / vaporisation and condensation, solid, liquid and gas mini picture cards - great visual resource to show children how different physical changes can affect the state of matter of a substance.

• States of matter picture sort activities: three different versions to choose from, including a write the room/treasure hunt style from) depending on teaching preference or developmental level of children. The three different versions also allow you to change your delivery of teaching from to year to year to avoid repetition.

• Moving Molecules Printables: Three different versions to suit teaching preferences. In these activities children draw what the molecules look like within each state of matter. Also includes molecule movement cards – an interactive way to get children to understand how molecules move.

• Moving Molecules experiment recording sheet: A fun yet simple experiment recording sheet to effectively show how liquid molecules can move when they are heated and cooled.

For Australian teachers, this pack also comes in standard A4 size and can support delivery of teaching programs that link to the Chemical Strand for the Australian Curriculum (heating and cooling changes to states of matter - year / grade 1 and year / grade 3).
