Description
"Stand and Deliver" is a 1988 film directed by Ramón Menéndez, based on the true story of high school math teacher Jaime Escalante. The film is a powerful portrayal of Escalante's efforts to inspire and motivate his students in a challenging urban school setting.
Jaime Escalante, played by Edward James Olmos, takes a job teaching mathematics at James A. Garfield High School in a troubled neighborhood in East Los Angeles.
