St. Patrick’s Day Fun for Middle Schoolers!
This packet of seven activities includes three logic puzzles, one cryptogram, one grid drawing sheet, one Leap Words activity (ladder words), and a 3 X 3 puzzle of shamrocks.
In the first logic puzzle, the user solves for which leprechaun hunter took which lucky charm and where they looked.
In the second logic puzzle, the user solves for the main dish, side dish, and instrument of four girls.
The third logic puzzle has nine people and the number of snakes they drove out of Ireland.
The cryptogram uses 12 words associated with St. Patrick’s Day and a quote/ riddle. There is a word search using all 12 words, plus 10 more secret green words for them to find!
Each puzzle uses Irish names and cultural references.
This product has been updated with the EASEL feature, perfect to use with distance or virtual learning! It can be assigned to students in a Google Classroom. You can either use the digital overlay already created, or create your own! For more information, read here!
The puzzles vary in difficulty and are ready to print, copy, and use- no other prep necessary! An answer key and a few tips are included. These puzzles are great to use as a filler activity, with a substitute, or after a test is given, and yet they will still challenge your students’ minds. I hope you enjoy these activities!
