St. Patrick's Day Fun Bundle

This St. Patrick's Day Fun Bundle contains five of my popular resources at a discounted price. Click on any of the resource links below for additional page views. The resources included are:

1. Website Sleuths- St. Patrick's Day

I hope your students will enjoy learning about St. Patrick's Day with this ready to use "web search" resource!

After your students have completed the web search (featuring ten questions), they could then complete the graphic organizer to show facts they have learned in a decorative way. Four different organizers are provided.

On the organizer, students could:

a. record facts they learned in their web search

b. record facts NOT on the question sheet (other facts)

c. record facts they found most interesting

d. record facts from a different website provided by you

The graphic organizers can be colored and make a great bulletin board display when done!

2. St. Patrick's Day Noun and Adjective Challenge

Students love anything that you call a “challenge,” and this St. Patrick's Day activity certainly is one! Different ways you might use this noun and adjective in your class are:

1. Individual students complete activity sheets

2. Small groups work together on an activity sheet

3. Races with individuals or small groups

4. Whole class activity (See if we can all work together to complete a chart)

5. Center activities

6. “I’m Done!” Classroom Time Fillers

As your students will see on the directions, no word can be used twice. You can also allow students to use the thesaurus for great synonym practice.

You could even have students cut the words from magazines for more “artistic flair!”

3. Go for the Gold: Setting Goals

Around St. Patrick’s Day, the end of the school year seems to be just around the corner. Unfortunately, many students have a decline in effort around this time as well. Why not help remind students of their goals so that they can finish the year with success? Students could set goals that would help them to graduate from the current school year (completing homework, studying for tests, etc.)

Students could also set goals for the following school year OR for their futures (involving college, their future careers, their future families, etc.)

I have purposely made the directions very general so that you may have them set the sort of goals you prefer. They brainstorm their goals first as well as what it would take to achieve them on the sheet provided. They can then complete the poster sheet by writing a goal in each gold coin and adding color and decoration. These make a very nice classroom or bulletin board display for St. Patrick’s Day.

4. St. Patrick's Day Puzzle and Maze Challenge

Your students will enjoy this S. Patrick's Day Puzzle and Maze Challenge!

Directions:

Find each group of three words in the puzzle. After you find each group of three, you have earned the lucky coin to complete the maze that matches that number. For example, after you have found word set 1, you then may complete maze 1. You may NOT complete the mazes first. May the luck o’ the Irish be with you!

4. Learn and Practice Sign Language- St. Patrick's Day Theme

This resource is perfect to use when your students are just learning sign language. The alphabet is provided so they can practice and learn first. It’s great to pair them with partners so that they can watch each other and check for correct letter formation.

The practice page (featuring the theme of St. Patrick's Day) will help students test their knowledge. You can even see if they can decipher the words without looking at the alphabet.

The practice page also makes a great partner activity. One partner could hold the page and the other partner could try to sign the words without looking. The first partner could check for accuracy.

There is also a page without the label of “St. Patrick's Day” on it in case you do not want students to know the theme when deciphering the words.
