--- THEME 1: WELCOMING SPRING ---

BUT IF YOU WAIT.... POCKET/POUCH CARDS

  • Students must put the cause/effect cards in order.
  • For example, "The trees are bare. But if you wait.... spring will bring new leaves."
  • Students can help you put all the sentences together that make sense and describe what spring will bring.
  • Last, they can complete a coordinating cut and paste activity.

SPRING SENTENCES

  • Spring pictures give students a clue about what to write.
  • Two differentiated versions are included: four pages total.
  • One version students think of their own sentence to match the picture and one version students trace the given sentence.

SPRING ACTIVITIES

  • Spring and my senses graphic organizer, activities in every season and "When Spring Comes..." writing prompt.

--- THEME 2: LION OR LAMB plus WEATHER ---

WEATHER GRAPHING

  • Adorable pocket/pouch chart words and lion/lamb cards are included.
  • Each day students can put up a new card to represent what the spring weather is like.
  • Then, they can color a bar on their coordinating graph.
  • All three months: March, April and May are included.

LION OR LAMB MINI BOOK

  • Adorable sentences give examples of how spring can have lion weather and lamb weather.

PICTURE CARDS / GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS

  • These cards display examples of how spring can be like a lion and how it can be like a lamb.
  • Coordinating graphic organizers and writing prompt papers are included for students to take notes and write.

LION AND LAMB POETRY

  • These poems come in both color and black and white.

CRAFTS AND BULLETIN BOARD DISPLAYS

  • Students can choose which weather they like more and create that animal (either a lion if they like stormy weather or a lamb if they like calm, sunny weather.)
  • Copy the cut-outs on color paper or they can color it themselves.
  • They assemble their animals and then you can display their writing and animal craft. These turn out so cute!

COORDINATING BABY ANIMAL MINI BOOK AND ACTIVITIES

  • An adorable mini book coordinates with the slideshow perfectly.
  • Students color the pictures and trace the baby animal name.
