After Spring Break Find Someone Who
This community building activity for after Spring Break can be used in any subject area.
Grid with 20 squares of different things students may have experienced over Spring Break.
(ex: went to the beach, visited extended family, went to the movies, did some spring cleaning, etc.)
Students approach classmates and ask them if they did one of the items in the grid. If the student responds YES, a conversation with follow up questions must ensue. (ex: Student says YES to "went to the movies." Follow up question could be "What movie did you see?" "Who did you go with?") This way students dig a little deeper and practice having in person (signed or spoken) conversations with peers. Students must write the answer to the follow up question and the name of the student in the corresponding box on the grid.
