Description
This is a front & back worksheet that has students calculating the instantaneous speed for a bee that is traveling for 10 seconds. Once they have calculated the instantaneous speed of the bee for each second, they calculate average speed. Then they chart the movement of the bee on a graph and calculate the displacement. Lastly, they will create a distance time graph showing the speed of the bee. The backside repeats the process and has some information about how bees travel faster when flying away from the hive and slower when flying toward the hive because they are carrying nectar. Students will then analyze the information and decide is the bee on the from (bee #1) or the bee on the back (bee #2) flying toward or away from the hive.
