Description
This is a PowerPoint presentation on Special Right Triangles. It starts off with the students seeing a square and identifying the properties they already know (accessing prior knowledge) and building up to the Pythagorean Theorem. Then, the pattern can be solicited from the students and examples are given.
The same is true for the 30-60-90 special right triangle. It starts off with an equilateral triangle and builds the same way as the 45-45-90 section.
This can be done altogether or in separate chunks according to your students' development. The animations made my students understand and visualize it well.
