Description

Looking for ways to make your special education classroom run more smoothly and give clear direction and visual reminders to paraprofessionals? These special education posters are a great tool for all the special education teachers and adults in the room. All special education teachers will love using this set of classroom posters, cards and tools!

Try placing these special education posters around your classroom or place them quietly on desks to remind your staff and yourself about special education teaching procedures. This set of visual reminders includes procedures for fading prompts, for steps of discrete trials, tools for writing down students' particular reinforcers, common praise phrases to keep them fresh, cards for reminding everyone about the teaching targets on arrival and other posters.

Visual reminders for special education teachers included:

  • 3 Versions of Prompting Procedures in 4 Different Designs
  • 4 Sheets of Praise Phrases
  • 3 Sets of Independent Work Reminders
  • 7 Versions of To-Do Lists for Staff
  • 2 Kinds of Reinforcer Lists to Post
  • 2 Kinds of Target Skills Lists to Post
  • 3 Discrete Trial Flowcharts

This packet of visual reminders is designed to help special education teachers set up supports for the adults in the classroom. When I set up classrooms, I find it so much easier to have information available to me visually to remind me of things so I can focus my attention on the students.

This package includes a variety of visual reminders from varied ways of providing praise as reinforcement (i.e., to keep from saying “Good Job” every time like I tend to) to discrete trial step flowcharts. These supports will work well for any special education classroom (and perhaps general education classrooms) regardless of whether you are using discrete trials, but I’ve included some supports I use in direct instruction for those that do use it.

❤️You and your staff will LOVE these visual reminders! Especially the inspirational posters. The visual reminders are a polite way of reminding staff of all the different things that it's hard to get them to do. Sometimes it's truly a reminder that everyone forgets. Sometimes it's related to a specific training need, like fading prompts in instruction.

Features of these special education posters and visual reminders:

✅ It can be posted on the bulletin board or in the instructional areas.

✅There are to-do lists for the teacher to keep a running set of to-do things so that if there is spare time, staff can pick them up and work on things that need doing.

✅There are reminder tools for what skills we are teaching in common activities like arrival departure.

✅They are designed to be low-key reminders, but also to let teachers use visuals with the staff as we do with our students.

Please download the preview to see pictures and a description of what is included. ❤️
