Spanish and English Black History Month Mini Project with Rubrics
Description
Spanish and English Black History Month Mini Project with Rubrics
Hello Teachers!
I teach in a public high school in Detroit and try to incorporate stories about students, staff members, fellow Detroiters, and Michiganders throughout the school year, not just in February. I similarly consciously choose which images to include with my presentations, digital flashcards, etc. I think that the more students see themselves through their classes, not just in the media, the more it motivates them subconsciously.
I currently teach Spanish 1 and 2. I created a basic and intermediate version for both levels in Spanish, additionally in English. If you are not a Spanish teacher, you could use the Spanish version for your hispanohablantes, or Spanish-speakers, to encourage them to research African Americans.
