What educators are saying

I used this as part of my choice board for my Semana Santa unit. Webquests are great and I liked that there was both a Spanish and English option.

Description

*Save money by purchasing both the Webquest (English AND Spanish versions!) and PowerPoint presentation together!

Purchase just the webquests separately here:

Semana Santa Webquest - ENGLISH version

Semana Santa Webquest - SPANISH version

The webquest:

This three page webquest (both English AND Spanish versions are included) takes students on a journey to research the events and vocabulary of Semana Santa. Students are mainly asked about the traditions in the processions in Spain but it does ask students to look at the Semana Santa traditions in other Spanish-speaking countries. Students answer a variety of questions that use different critical-thinking skills. A list of suggested websites is included at the start of the webquest.

An answer key is included.

The Powerpoint presentation:

*NOTE* - UPDATED on 4/15/19 with photos and videos from Semana Santa in Malaga, Spain from 2019! The number of photos and videos has tripled to over 50!

This beautiful Powerpoint presentation illustrates the events of the Holy Saturday procession in Granada and Malaga (new!), Spain. All of the photos and videos are my own, and I ask that you please do not reproduce them without my permission. The Granada photos were taken at a nighttime procession so they are naturally dark. It is best to view them on a projector with the lights off. Many of the Malaga photos are brighter as most were taken during the day.
