This Spanish IPA about The Effects of Technology is for Intermediate Mid/High students. Students will read a news article about the effects of technology on our health. Then, they will discuss and write about their own technology use and its effects. This Integrated Performance Assessment will test your students' proficiency in all 3 modes.

Scenario: According to the PEW Research Center, 93% of teens ages 12‐17 go online. Of that 93%, 24% are online “almost constantly,” 56% report being online several times each day and 12% use the Internet once a day. You are participating in a community wide panel discussion about teenagers and technology usage.
Interpretive: Read an article about the effects of technology to get a better understanding of the risks of overuse prior to the panel discussion.
Presentational: Write a blog entry about your current technology usage and how it affects your life in both positive and negative ways.
Interpersonal: Discuss with classmates your opinion on teenagers and technology usage. Is it too much? Is it just right?
