Description

Why wait until students are in upper-level classes to engage them in real-world problems and issues? I don't wait, and neither should you! With this comprehensible informational text resource, you can not only inform students about the educational challenges faced around the world, but you can inspire them to be proactive in solving their own issues. As such, "Los desafíos educativos" provides a peek into the world of education in two countries: Nicaragua and Bangladesh.

How to use this resource

This mini-unit can be used as part of a unit on education (as I did with my students) or as supplemental readings.

I created and used this mini-unit at the end of Spanish I semester II. It can also be used as part of a unit on education at the beginning of Spanish 2 as most of the structures are present tense featuring a load of cognates.
