What educators are saying

My students loved this Escape Room. It kept them engaged the entire time and asking for another one that very same week. Thank you.
I love these escape rooms! I pretty much purchased every single one that applies to my curriculum map. It gets my students out of their seats, they're collaborating, and they have fun being competitive. I like that the questions vary in difficulty, too. Thank you so much!

Description

An engaging math escape room for solving 1-step linear equations in one variable. Students must unlock 5 locks by solving 20 equations requiring just one step to solve. Questions are grouped 4 per puzzle, resulting in five 4-letter codes that will unlock all 5 locks. The variable may be on the right or left of each equation.

The entire activity is housed in one GOOGLE Form. There are no links to outside websites. The 4-letter codes are set with answer validation so that students cannot move to the next puzzle until they enter the correct code. This is a digital-only activity. Includes answer key.

To add the digital escape room to your Google Drive: please open the PDF and click the button on page 3.

A printable PDF version has also been added to the file. Students can work in groups, each group starting at a different puzzle. Once done, students check the NEXT STEP box for which puzzle to visit next.
