A self-checking digital maze made on Google Sheets and Excel is a fun and interactive way for students to practice substituting an integer, term, and expression before actually solving a system of equations. This type of activity is especially helpful for students who struggle with algebraic concepts or who may make common mistakes when solving systems of equations.
The digital maze is set up as a series of cells in a Google Sheets and Excel. As students answer correctly, the cell will turn green and highlight the way to the next problem. If they are incorrect, the cell will turn red. The goal of the maze is to find the correct path from the start to the end by correctly substituting integers, terms, or expressions in each cell.
