Description

In this Social Studies and history icebreakers resource, you receive two icebreaker activities for the first or last days of school. These are ideal in any Social Studies, History, or Geography classroom. You can choose to use both, or choose the game that you feel best fits your kids!

In the first history icebreaker, students travel through the alphabet and use each letter to solve a different problem. For example, on "B" students must find a "country that starts with a B." For "K," students must come up with a "state capital that has a K." Tons of fun and guaranteed to get your students talking!

The second icebreaker activity, "Can you name...", has students try to come up with answers for certain historical facts. For example, one of the problems has students name all of the 5 Great Lakes. Another has them come up with two of the four longest rivers in the United States. This activity is another great way to get students talking early in the school year, or as a way to de-stress late in the school year!
