Social Story for Self-Regulation
Description
Improve your child’s self-regulation skills with this social story! Children will learn to identify their emotions and body signals. Then, they will be introduced to regulating sensory and behaviors strategies.
A child's regulatory state (arousal level) is compared to a care. Using the car metaphor, children will categorize their arousal level as running too slow, too fast or just right.
Guided by examples of “tools” children will learn sensory and behavioral methods to get their engines to run “just right”
