This activity will give your students plenty of flexible thinking practice with these 42 boom cards for speech therapy! Each card features a scenario relatable to teens, where the student must work practice flexible thinking by avoiding jumping to conclusions. They will be required to identify more than one possible interpretation of a given social scenario.
Some students can have difficulty understanding and accepting that there may be more than one possible explanation for a given situation. This can then result in assumptions being made which can hurt both the student and their relationships. It is a skill that is high in demand at school, at home and as students enter the workplace.

Boom Cards for social skills are no print digital task cards that are interactive. They can be used the following ways:
- Bring the cards up on your iPad or laptop and hand it over!
- Read task cards aloud over zoom or Skype therapy sessions similarly to how task cards would have been used in therapy/at school.
- You can give remote control to your students so they can press the answers themselves!
- If you are creating home practice programs, provide a URL link to the boom learning cards - use the Boom Website for more information on sharing your decks with students.
WHO CAN USE THESE?
Regular education teachers, special education teachers, SLPs, or other support professionals could all benefit from using these task cards with their students. These cards are specifically designed for middle and high school aged students.
Please note: - This is the exact same card deck as my Flexible Thinking for Teens task cards. These are in Boom Card format and are therefore an interactive version. The answers are automatically graded, however the answers can be subjective, therefore you may not agree with all of them. You may use these instances as discussion points with your students for debate.
