Brain Storm! brings situational problem solving questions to life as students learn practical and functional steps to effectively brainstorm solutions and determine the best possible solution to a problem. Explicit teacher instructions for presenting the problem solving process, writing options, and several rubric formats for monitoring progress included!

3. Talk to the Hand Problem Solving: Problem Solving, safety, judgement, perspective taking with a Hand-On Twist!!
This activity can be used with or without sticky hands. Sticky hands may be purchased at a variety of stores including Oriental Trading and Amazon. They are very inexpensive.
Use with sticky hands: Spread out cards, glitter hand side up, on the table. Students stand back two or more feet from table and attempt to grab a problem solving card with their sticky hand. Gummy hand stretches and grabs a card. Student reads problem solving card and answers question. The cueing cards may be used by the student and/or instructor to aid the student with the problem solving process. Task card completion page is added for independent working students and to keep track of completed tasks.
