Description

Looking for a fun way to discuss emotions? This is the perfect activity to break the ice and encourage critical thinking. This social skills activity pairs with the following youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOkyKyVFnSs. Pause the video before revealing the emotion and have the student explain what clues they found to guess the emotions. This is a three part activity. I provided an example of each section below.

Part 1 example: How is she feeling?

Facial expressions?

Body language?

Actions?

Words?

What could you say or do to help?

Part 2 example: Think about your own emotions

Share what makes you feel happy/sad/angry/disgusted/scared

Part 3 example: Zones of regulation

Pair inside out with zones of regulation descriptors
