Description

What this lesson includes:

- Digital version and paper handout that you can print!

- Photo analysis: students match the correct reform movement with the photo, and explain one observation from each picture.

- 4 slides of condensed reading on the temperance, workers, education, and women's movement of the 1800's.

- Annotation guide on each page, where students are highlighting the text that corresponds with particular gate icons.

- Gate frame: students will use their annotations to write a little about each reform movement

- Extra activity: have students create a slogan and poster for one of the reform movements.
