What educators are saying
Description
This WebQuest asks the question: Is social media activism effective in creating real change, or is it merely "slacktivism"?
Students work through tasks that require them to investigate examples of online activism on various social media platforms, as well as a case study of a specific hashtag associated with a social media activism campaign. Students will synthesize their understanding and present their findings to their classmates, including their conclusion regarding the effectiveness of social media activism.
