Social Emotional Learning Digital & Print Workbook Activities for Google Slides

Teach social emotional learning in a digital workbook! This workbook is designed for younger learners to learn about the five core domains of SEL: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships, and decision-making. Some of the individual skills targeted include empathy, emotions, responsibilities, self-control, listening, and more!

This workbook contains 5 workbooks (already digitally split up for you!). Each workbook focuses on a different domain of SEL from self-awareness to decision-making. Assign one skill per day for a total of 5 weeks of SEL instruction and practice.

Workbooks are included as a Google Drive file and printable PDFs to provide options during distance learning and in the classroom.

Digital and Print Versions

Digital: The digital version includes moveable pieces to make learning social emotional learning skills fun and interactive. Note that the digital version might be best-suited for computers and laptops, as students need to move individual pieces. Directions are included for how to assign with and without Google Classroom.

Print: The print versions include both black/white options. Print the activities and complete them as a book. Activities can include cutting and pasting if you choose, or have students draw. The choice is yours!

Self-Guided

Depending on age and ability, this workbook can be an independent and self-guided activity for learners. Just have them complete one skill per day, or allow them to work at their own individual pace!

Why Teach Social Emotional Learning Skills

Social and emotional learning, referred to as SEL, is the process that helps kids and young adults learn critical skills, attitudes, and mindsets for social and emotional success. These skills cover five major areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships, and responsible decision-making. It’s actually difficult to describe in just one sentence because SEL covers everything from building confidence and managing emotions to making friends and understanding ethical decision-making skills. These are truly the foundational skills that help kids to be successful in and out of school.
